New Jersey License Affiliation Instructions

Hello and Welcome to ROA! Our goal is to help you transition as smoothly as possible.
This document outlines the steps required to affiliate your license with ROA.  Please follow all instructions carefully.

Important: You may only practice once you are officially registered under Realty of America.
Please ensure that your email address that you provided to us matches your State Commissions Login Email.

Once your license is active with ROA, you must transfer your Board and MLS membership to Realty of America.  You can obtain the transfer form from the board office, it may possibly be online as well.  Please prepare the form for electronic signature, via whatever electronic document platform you use, and email it to your state broker.   

If you're newly licensed, you will need to join a Board and MLS within 30 days.  Please reach out to the board of your choice for joining instructions.  Any forms that require the broker's signature, please send to the state broker for electronic signature, via whatever electronic document platform you use.

Existing Licensees 

 To transfer your existing license to ROA, follow these steps: 


       Before we can affiliate your license with ROA, you need to contact your current broker and ask them to release your license.

  1. Once released from your current brokerage, email the NJ Broker at nj.broker@realtyofamerica.com. The NJ Broker will affiliate your license with ROA on the DOBI.NJ roster.  


  1. Your NJ Broker and Onboarding Coordinator will receive notification of new affiliation. 


  1. Your application will be approved once your license shows affiliation with Realty of America.  

  2.  

IMPORTANT: You CANNOT practice real estate until your license is active with ROA on the New Jersey Real Estate Commission's website. 


New Licensees 

If you are a newly licensed/just passed the exam, please follow these steps: 

  1. Scan as a PDF and email the following items to your NJ broker:  nj.broker@realtyofamerica.com  


    • Your PSI passing form signed by you.
    • Your IdentiGO receipt from your fingerprints and background check.
    • One of the following forms of identification: driver's license, US Passport, or INS Form I-551 (Green Card).


  1. The NJ Broker will submit your forms as application for your new license to the NJDOB.


  2. Your Onboarding Coordinator will issue an invoice for the NJ Real Estate Commission Initial License Fee of $160. PLEASE CHECK SPAM! We cannot proceed without payment of this fee

  3.  

  1. Once you have paid your initial license fee, your onboarding coordinator will add the confirmation to your application.

  1. Once your license has been issued, we will update our online roster with your license.

  2.  

  1. The New Jersey broker will receive notification of new affiliation.


  2. Your application will be approved and you will be onboarded once your license has been issued as active status with Realty of America

  3.   

  1. Newly licensed agents have 30 days to join a primary board and MLS. If you need assistance in determining which Board and MLS to join, please reach out to us at: nj.broker@realtyofamerica.com 

 

Broker License: 

**If you have an active salesperson license and want to upgrade to a broker license, please contact nj.broker@realtyofamerica.com for assistance with your Broker license.
